This year we started a new tradition with my brother and his
family of meeting up for an annual summer camping trip. This year we
selected a site in Colorado, that's
nearly a direct mid-way point for the both of us. We had SUCH a fun time
playing in the woods with the boys, digging in dirt, sitting at the fire, and
of course, eating...which is the whole point of camping in the first place,
right?!! It is a joy being auntie and uncle to these three sweet boys. They are
growing and learning so fast, and we love to share some of these experiences
with them :-)
Another highlight of the camping trip, was that of beating
Grant badly in a game of spades. This was our first time playing this game, and
we took a huge risk at the end of the game by calling a blind nil before the
last round (it's a big gamble because you make a bid without knowing what cards
you have.) We managed to pull off the nil, which caused us to win the entire
game :-) Hilarious. Beating Grant always feels so good :-) Can't wait to do it
again next year!! HA!
Note to Sleight family: Half of these pictures are from Jennie's blog, so this is a repeat of what you viewed and read on her blog as well :-)
